Rob Burke Cars was established 2006 , and I have been in the motor trade for around 40 years starting as a mechanic in my Fathers garage at 16 years old , I was introduced to Rallying at this point due to the lads i worked with in the garage currently competing , so spent most of my early days building escort mk2 Engines and Mk2 rally cars , I was always interested in motorsport in one form or another , Ive enjoyed rallying Escorts and Subarus for a number of Years and have owned numerous fast cars in the past , Most recently a Mclaren , once i started up on my own i made a very good friend of someone who moved out to the Far east and who was also car and motorsport fanatic ( or as he would put it ” Had The disease ”  ) I used to  ship cars out to him  , as he lived in Singapore and cars where very expensive there , we shipped cars from UK to Singapore , Notably , A 911 Carrera 4S , a Porsche Cayenne Turbo , A Bmw M3 Convertible , A Bmw M5 , I remember the M5 going out in a container which he payed around £55000 for the car in the UK and was worth $500,000 Singapore dollars ( around £300,000 )  at the time once it reached Singapore , Anyhow , I always liked my Japanese cars , I had a soft spot for the legacys and Impreza and of course Ford Escorts , Plus anything JDM Really or anything interesting or classic with 2 or four wheels , So i decided to import cars from Japan myself via an introduction from my friend in Singapore , we still carry out repairs , we have the latest diagnostic equipment with 2 workshops and we are still importing cars , we dont buy to order , i only buy what i like and sell it on , its always best to contact us first as not all of the cars we have are available to view at the drop of a hat , some cars are stored elsewhere – best to call ahead or make an appointment
